The Lake County Detention Center is a 960 bed facility, located in Tavares, Florida. In 2016, 8,722 inmates were booked into the facility with an average daily population of 747 inmates. The Detention Center employs 239 personnel. (181 Sworn Detention Deputies and 57 civilians) Under the leadership of the Sheriff.
