A forklift lifting rafters hit a power line, knocking down a transformer. It fell onto construction debris. The fire moved from the debris to a palm tree next to the building. The building in the apartment complex had no wallboard or fire wall protection up yet and that allowed flames to spread quickly, Fire Department Captain Bill Wade said.
