Valessa Robinson's diaries chronicle her early teen years up to three weeks before her mother's murder.
In her own words, Valessa Robinson paints a self-portrait of a misguided, sometimes angry teenager who dabbled in drugs, sex and rock 'n' roll.
But little in the thoughts that Valessa memorialized in her diaries from age 12 to 15 indicate that she would come to murder her own mother.
The diaries were released Monday by the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office, three days after a jury convicted Robinson of third-degree murder in the death of her mother.
